Import Example 1 (Amazon.com):
You purchased a few Amazon Echos ($130 USD) from Amazon.com because Amazon.com does not ship to Canada.
If the exchange rate is 1 USD = 1.40 CAD, the total import value becomes $182.00 CAD when there is no customs duty.
Your package weights 3 lb.
The following will be our fee in CAD$ to import into Canada for pickup from Lethbridge, Red Deer or our offices in Calgary and Edmonton:

Import Example 2 (eBay.com):
You purchased $20.00 USD iPad chargers, $12.00 USD computer parts and a $18 iphone screen from three different vendors on eBay.com for the same entry.
If the exchange rate is 1 USD = 1.40 CAD, the total import value becomes $70.00 CAD when there is no customs duty.
Your 3 packages weight 4 lb, 3 lb and 1 lb, respectively.
The following will be our fee in CAD$ to import into Canada for pickup from Lethbridge, Red Deer or our offices in Calgary and Edmonton:

Import Example 3 (Other US online store):
You purchased 2 motorcycle parts and a helmet from a US online store (same vendor) with a total price of $350.00 USD for the same entry.
If the exchange rate is 1 USD = 1.40 CAD, the total import value becomes $490.00 CAD when there is no customs duty.
Your 3 packages weight 1 lb, 3 lb, and 70 lb, respectively.
The following will be our fee in CAD$ to import into Canada for pickup from Lethbridge, Red Deer or our offices in Calgary and Edmonton:

Import Example 4 (Multiple orders from different vendors):
You purchased $350.00 USD engine car parts from a US online store and they do not ship to Canada. You also purchased two other car parts for $50.00 USD on eBay.com. In this case, they cannot be brokered under the same entry number because of different vendors as per CBSA import regulations. They need to be treated separately such as those shown in Examples 2 and 3 above.

Import Example 5 (Apparel):
You purchased $70.00 USD T-shirts from a US online store. For price comparison purpose, this online store also offers free shipping within USA but wants $95.00 USD shipping, $55.00 USD customs brokerage and $16.30 USD duty/tax via UP8 courier to your address in Alberta, Canada. If the exchange rate is 1 USD = 1.40 CAD, the total import value of $70.00 USD T-shirts becomes $98.00 CAD. Since there is a 18% Government of Canada duty imposed on apparel, your item's value is now $115.64 CAD after duty.

The following will be our fee in CAD$ to import into Canada for pickup from Lethbridge, Red Deer or our offices in Calgary and Edmonton:

You will still be responsible for the 18% duty ($17.64 CAD) and 5% Customs tax (GST, $5.78 CAD) charged by the Government of Canada.

Import Example 6 (Furnitures):
You purchased $750.00 USD of furnitures from a US online store who charges $80 USD shipping to anywhere in the USA but wants $450 USD shipping to Canada by UP8 freight. There will be an additional $105 USD on customs brokerage charged by UP8 and unknown amount of taxes due on delivery. If the exchange rate is 1 USD = 1.25 CAD, the total import value becomes $937.50 CAD if there is no customs duty.
Your order was shipped in 4 separate boxes weighting 29 lb, 40 lb, 51 lb and 62 lb.
The following will be our fee in CAD$ to import into Canada for pickup from Lethbridge, Red Deer or our offices in Calgary and Edmonton:

Import Example 7 (Supplies for resale in Canada; our broker):
You purchased $5,000.00 USD of supplies from a US supplier who offers free shipping within the USA. Shipping directly from this supplier to Canada is out of the question because of the ridiciously expensive shipping. They shipped the supplies in a standard 4x4 skid weighting 600 lb to one of the warehouses at Sweet Grass, MT, USA.
If the exchange rate is 1 USD = 1.40 CAD, the total import value becomes $7,000.00 CAD if there is no customs duty.
Your company wants to use our customs broker to clear the goods but under your company's import number in order to reclaim the GST paid to the Government of Canada. You then signed the paper work and authorized our customs broker to clear the goods on your behalf.
The following will be our fee in CAD$ to import into Canada for pickup from Lethbridge, Red Deer or our offices in Calgary and Edmonton:

Import Example 8 (Supplies for resale in Canada; your broker):
You purchased $5,000.00 USD of supplies from a US supplier who offers free shipping within the USA. Shipping directly from this supplier to Canada is out of the question because of the ridiciously expensive shipping. They shipped the supplies in a standard 4x4 skid weighting 750 lb to your U.S.address in Montana Mailbox Inc. at Sweet Grass, MT, USA.
Your company wants to use your own customs broker to clear the goods and we will provide a CCN/PARS number to your broker.
The following will be our fee in CAD$ to import into Canada for pickup from Lethbridge, Red Deer or our offices in Calgary and Edmonton:

1. Import examples are for the purpose of price estimation only and additional charges may apply, depending on the type of import or whether import involves any other Canadian government/agency import regulatory approval such as that from CFIA (Canadian Food Inspection Agency).
2. For your import, you are responsible for customs tax (5% GST) and any customs duty set by the Government of Canada in the Customs Tariff as submitted on your behalf by the licensed customs brokers who are registered with CBSA (Canada Border Services Agency).
3. You are also responsible for any applicable warehouse fee from the Montana Mailbox Inc..
4. DYK fee is for pickup from our Calgary or Edmonton offices; delivery drop off service to your address is available for an additional fee.
5. A 5% disbursement fee (min. $2.00) applies on the fee that we paid on your behalf for customs tax/duty and warehouse fee. For example, if we paid $50.00 customs tax/duty and warehouse fee on your behalf, there will be a $2.50 CAD disbursement fee from us.
